I go to swap meets, junk yards, fields etc to find interesting rusty vehicles. It is on a white canvas, painted with Micaceous oxide acrylic paint. Then I do a metallic watercolor underpainting for the truck, then cover in pastel, leaving bits and pieces of the underpaintings show through.
