Fort Zachary Snack Bar, Key West

Whenever I go on vacation I bring my travel Pochade Box. It's small but easy to pack in a suitcase and bring to the beach. I was sitting on the beach looking for something to paint and I wasn't really inspired, but then I turned around and the snack bar was behind me and I was instantly inspired by the tropical jungle and the way the light was hitting the snack bar. I enjoy Plein air because I find I paint much looser and I am always happy with the results.
