The day was perfect for plein air painting, as I set up my easel above one of the most famous surfing spots in the World: Trestles Beach, in north San Diego County. The breezes blew across the tall grass, the brush was abundant and green, the waves breaking long and clean. I used a panoramic format to suit that most abundant view.
