Winter Blues at Sugarbowl

I had a fascinating time painting this in -7 degrees . The water in my brush froze into ice particles and gave me interesting sharp edges from my flat brush . The blue shadows crossed slowly across the landscape bringing new importance and contrast with side of the mountin in sunlight . I have to get back before the snow melt
