Ghost Stairs

This work is part of a series of paintings to document these "Ghost Stairs" in my neighborhood in Nashville, TN. Although there is not an official term for these structures, I call them Ghost Stairs. These formations are often found in older neighborhoods that have experienced urban development, destructive tornadoes or rapid gentrification. In each of my paintings, I highlight these concrete fixtures that remain long after the home or building has been demolished.
