Behind the Scenes

This acrylic on canvas captures a quiet yet powerful moment: two optometry students practicing the skills that will restore vision and transform lives. Created by an optometry student artist, the painting was a study in patience and color — every hue hand-mixed from red, blue, yellow, black, and white, reflecting the complexity of color vision itself. This piece was completed over the course of a year, woven into the rhythm of graduate school life, and will soon find its home at the Illinois College of Optometry.
