This was a sunrise painting that I did in my favorite canyon near my home. It was painted using only palette knife and done in one sitting. Capturing the beauty of the first light of the day hitting the mountain side is one of the most exciting experiences and this painting truly exemplifies the years of dedication and observation that I have put into plein air painting.
