This painting is my attempt to capture the intense gaze of a male mountain lion. I have always been intrigued by these almost mythical creatures, and have been fortunate to have had some close encounters with them in the Idaho and Montana wilderness. I hoped to evoke the same spine-tingling feeling that I experienced.
