Firebreather

This painting depicts a bull elk in the early morning light of a September day in Montana. As an avid hunter and outdoorsman, I've had the opportunity to be up close and personal with these magnificent animals, and they have always inspired me to try to capture them on canvas in a way that re-creates the excitement I feel when I am with them.
