In the early afternoon of a hot summer day, I painted this piece using oils on a masonite panel. I drew inspiration from the architecture in the park of my home town, Ojai, CA. I created this piece using a pochade box that I designed and built myself. Using this box to paint subject matter close to my home allows each piece to be a special part of my personal narrative.
