In The Sea Foam

This painting reminds me of growing up in the Australia and swimming in the ocean. The big swell and the foam on the surface. I decided to do this close up painting with the sunlight and shadows in a wave which takes me back to those days. I love the patterns of the foam. Working in soft pastels is perfect for dealing with the textures of the water and foam.
