It’s all about the sunlight through the waves when I’m at the beach in the mornings. The power and delicate nature of waves is fascinating, and trying to paint that in pastels is my every day challenge. I love working in soft pastels because they’re so immediate and the colours are rich. They’re perfect for depicting seascapes.
