There's a special place in my heart for these grain silos that interrupt the ethereal landscape of the Palouse country in eastern Washington. I've always wanted to go inside for a closer look but have never had the key to unlock a door. Like windmills in Belgium and Holland, these are sacred to the folks who've built them and not for mere mortals (or artists) to nose around. I only know that when you walk through these fields, a line is drawn in the stubble.
