Yosemite and Big Sur in California are my two favorite places to paint. The iconic Falls comprise the subject of this piece, in which I have taken a lower vantage point to look up, up above the river to the sheer cliffs that touch the sky. My emphasis was on value, texture and color in this painting of one of the most beautiful locales on Earth.
