Sunflowers Blowing in the Wind

The lavender farm where I love to plein air paint was mowing down the sunflowers because they were not happy with how small the flowers seemed to be. I set up and painted them before the whole area was mowed down. They seemed to be calling to me to capture their wanting to stay a while longer. I was inspired to keep them alive in my painting with the beautiful lavender blooming in the background.
