Morning Light on the River's Edge

Acrylic on canvas board: Painted in plein air, I worked to capture the beauty of the early morning light along the bank of the Tennessee River. The light reflects off the water onto the cypress trunks and knees. Using acrylics, I worked quickly to preserve the changing light, layering soft blends and confident, bold strokes to convey the warmth of the sunlight not long after daybreak. This painting is a study of light, nature's quiet beauty, and the interplay between water and land. Stunning.
